Steve Jobs
I watched an interview with Steve Jobs on YouTube today. A member of the audience asked him a very complicated tech-based question about his company. He responded by saying it’s not about the technology, but the experience of the customer when they use it. He said that that’s the first thing to look at - what the customer experiences when using Apple products.
Do we do that? Do we consider the needs of ALL of our students as they sit in our classrooms, watching, wanting to be involved but receiving no invitation from us? Do we consider what ALL of our students are experiencing in our classroom?
Or do we put our “smart” students first? Do we look in the other direction when we sense one of our less high-achieving kids wants to be involved, but not getting the chance?
Asking for a million “underachieving” (i.e. kids who don’t like to memorize stuff) language students…
