Gesturing - 5

How can the students remember words that they have only seen translated on paper, words that have not been gestured or woven in some other way, via rich meaningful context, into the body?

It boggles the mind how much traditional language instruction has strayed from the research and from the actual way that languages are acquired, i.e. via unconscious focus on the message, with or without gesturing even involved.
